Eighty five of the total 520 Christ Gospel Churches in eastern India are housed in fixed buildings with electricity, while the remainder hold services in rual areas in grass huts.
Over the past 20 years, Bishop Yelchuri has supervised the construction of over (85) fixed church buildings for Christ Gospel India Congregations. Funding for these projects has come from Christ Gospel International in the US, as well as, individuals within India and in the US.
As an example in December of 2017, this small church was dedicated. Construction funds were provided by a family in the US, donated in memory of loved ones.

Church Building dedicated in memory of Love Ones
In most cases, individuals from local congregations donate land on which the church buildings are to be constructed. Other members and area businesses donate materials and members donate their time to work on the site during the construction. This makes each new building a local Church Family project of love.
Members volunteering to assist with church construction
In many cases, Christ Gospel Churches are constructed in poor, rual areas where there are few buildings constructed of block and cement with electricity. The surrounding village may be predominately grass huts with dirt floors. A new Church Building helps the congregation to grow and the local pastor to become self-sufficient and more respected in the community. Each Building becomes something of a gift to the village because it is used for weddings, funerals and primary school programs.
In addition to providing church buildings, Christ Gospel India also provides support to Pastors and their families. This includes monthly financial stipends, bicycles, motor bikes and megaphones as funds are available.
If you are moved to consider donating funds to construct a new church building, or to dedicate a building in memory of a loved one gone on to be with the Lord or in honor of someone still living, please send your inquiry to email@example.com. We will start a dialog on a project that will positively affect many lives in India for decades to come.
